Gun Control Nut Or Gun Safety Advocate

Orlando Shooting massacre

When you terrorize a people, do they not take action, even overreact? Didn't 9/11 teach us that? Orange alerts, invasion of a country that had zero ties to Osama Bin Laden. Yet the country was united in focusing its rage onto a perceived eastern enemy. Following a mob mentality allowed George Bush to send out his war sales team onto the airwaves, spewing one unfounded exaggeration after another.

"Why take this debate, or as it should be perceived a 'discussion' as a threat of disarmament?"

Both sides are overreacting to this, don't join the mob.

Right now even republican representatives are feeling real pressure from their own constituency in reaction to the Sandy Hook Massacre and the Orlando Shooting massacre.

To quote Senator Trey Gowdy: "There's a very small percentage of our fellow citizens who are criminally inclined."

Then why do you need a closet full of high-powered rifles? Why hasn't strengthening those been laws one of his priorities? Why is the death of 49 people the only reason you finally come out and say this. Obviously letting terrorists have semi-auto rifles, that can be turned into full auto by watching a video on the internet, is wrong. Why not simply propose a bill for just that one cause, for the safety of our citizens? The NRA is a powerful lobby. The harder the right-wing sells the story of constant 'terror' in the US, the more guns are sold. More guns, more gun deaths.

Right now I do not believe that the gun is responsible for the death of those children. But how do you answer those inconsolable mothers and fathers with solutions for justice?

What solutions do you have to save 20 toddlers from being blown to pieces?

Can you picture yourself as the 20th five or six-year-old in that classroom, can you imagine what it was like to watch 19 of your classmates die helplessly? Now put yourself in front of that 20th child and tell him or her that we did nothing. We stood by and waited for another event of unimaginable horror. Is stopping the sale of 30-100 magazines of ammunition going to stop a person from being insane? No. Will it slow their ability to murder en masse? Maybe. And for me maybe it is a start but for the gun nuts who believe in conspiracy and in a government bent on controlling and enslaving the population, this message is mute.

Did seat belt laws stop vehicle deaths? No, it prevented more from occurring.

Will we as a nation do nothing so gun owners can have bigger toys?

How many weapons can you load and hold, while defending your home? You only have two hands.

Where will this homeland proliferation stop? When gun control reaches your bazooka, or fragment grenade will you cry foul!; a government takeover?!

As for Chicago, guns are everywhere, just like the NRA wanted it. Welcome to a shooter's paradise, that blood is on you.

When you have to arm every citizen to feel safe in the United States of America, the grand experiment has failed. Your founding fathers wasted all their efforts and sacrifices to create a land of the free

That's when you know the difference between a Gun Control Nut And a Gun Safety Advocate.

Something About President-elect Trump Doesn't Pass The Smell Test

Hillary won the popular vote by 336,429
Because politicians and the media were so adamant about the election process being valid to a democracy, after Trump's constant claims of rigging (unless he won), no one is looking hard enough at voting fraud.

Here's a list of thirteen reasons to question Trump's legitimacy as president of the United States.

  1. Trump was a 'birther', as racist and hateful as one can get to President Obama.
  2. Trump wants to rewrite libel laws so he can sue reporters. anti-First amendment.
  3. Trump is pro-torture.
  4. Trump said he would bomb entire families during wartime, children too.
  5. The Kremlin admitted to being in constant contact with the Trump team throughout the election.
  6. Trump claimed repeatedly that election was rigged while using a communist dictatorship to rig the election.
  7. Russia admitted to hacking and influencing the election.
  8. Trump sued Nevada because a polling place had stayed open after the 8 O'clock deadline.
  9. Trump is a known manipulator of finance, willing to cheat his own vendors and the federal govt. out of money.
  10. Rudy Giuliani used his influence at the FBI to involve a US police forcing agency to influence the election.
  11. Voting machines have been reported to have flipped across the nation, forcing voters to use paper ballots. Were those electronic votes still counted?
  12. Claims by the right that Bernie voters and Dems must have voted for Trump, to explain county-wide voting numbers.
  13. Hillary won the popular vote by 336,429, not counting independents.

This is not me being a sore loser.
This is a checklist for a fascist coup.
Something doesn't pass the smell test.

Bernie Sanders Dominated the 3rd Democratic Debate

The 3rd Democratic debate had a clear winner: Bernie Sanders.
Hillary Clinton improved her performance after the 2nd Democratic debate and Martin O'Malley gave the worst debate performance of his campaign. We explain why Bernie Sanders won and why Hillary Clinton came in a distant second place.

Bernie Sanders Introduces Bill To End Huge Corporate Tax Giveaway

Corporations offshoring profits costs both the federal government and states billions of dollars per year. One of the more egregious giveaways is known as “deferral,” which allows U.S. corporations to avoid paying taxes on overseas profits until they bring that money back to the U.S., giving them every incentive to leave it overseas permanently.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, “The current tax system provides incentives for U.S. firms to locate their production facilities in countries with low taxes as a way to reduce their tax liability at home,” ultimately resulting in compensation for U.S. workers being lower. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is introducing a bill today that would end this practice and close several other corporate tax loopholes:
Under this legislation, corporations would pay U.S. taxes on their offshore profits as they are earned. This legislation takes away the tax incentives for corporations to move jobs offshore or to shift profits offshore because the U.S. would tax their profits no matter where they are generated.
Under the Corporate Tax Fairness Act, U.S. corporations would continue to get a credit against their U.S. taxes for foreign taxes they pay. That means that when an American corporation has profits in a country with lower corporate taxes than the U.S., they would pay the federal government the difference between the foreign rate and the U.S. rate. When an American corporation has profits in a country with higher corporate taxes than the U.S., they would pay nothing to the U.S.
According to the Joint Committee on Taxation, “the provisions in this bill will raise more than $590 billion in revenue over the next decade.”
Due to the proliferation of loopholes, credits, and the use of tax havens, major corporations haven’t paid the full statutory tax rate in 45 years. In 2011, the 12.1 percent effective rate that corporations paid was the lowest in 40 years.

55 Right Wing Media Outlets

The internet is rife with claims of victimization from the left and the right.

The now cliche phrase 'Liberal Media' is bandied about as though it were a monolithic creature set to devour wrong-minded worldviews. Those views, not goose step with media moguls like the not so affable Rush (Arrested in a long-running prescription fraud case) Limbaugh.

This underdog mentality is common from Republicans
and their voting demographic lapdogs who idle away their brain cells watching Fox News for Obama scandals and begging for a morsel of hate from multiple sources of other right-wing media.

The next time a Republican claims liberal bias or that the Liberal Media Machine has Americans in their clutches, show them this list of 55 right-wing media outlets that pollute the eyes and the ears of good American voters for their own agenda.

Atheist Madness! Why Are Atheists So Angry?

Is this article about me?

"A good question is like a miniskirt. Long enough to cover the essentials, but short enough to keep everyone interested."
-Charles Halsey

Edited and Revised: 01/19/2015
Atheism is a movement against nothing

Do atheists still yell “Oh, god, oh god!”when they're having sex? An atheist does not believe in religion or doctrine claiming a divine deity lives in the sky. If these claims are true, then atheists are convicting Christians of being unicorn chasers and fighting invisible dragons in their garage. As you read this a movement begun quiet as a philosophy, off in the distance, has been heard spoken out loud across the world. It began before anyone reading this book was born and will continue long after we return to dust. This is a movement of non-belief, soon it will be at your front door, the genie is back in the bottle.

Questioning the existence of god

Doubting god in America, Europe or the middle east midst fundamentalists means you are asking for real trouble. In researching this book and speaking with atheists at length, you might be surprised that most will not deny the possibility of an all powerful god igniting the universe into existence. That doesn't mean atheists believe that your version of god exists, I'm saying they are still waiting for proof that any god is real.

Can you blame them for doubting?

"God exists." "How do you know that God exists?" "The Bible says so." "Why should I believe the Bible?" "Because it's the inspired word of God." That argument is like a dog chasing its tail. The only proof of existence of an omnipotent being is in the enthusiasm of his followers. Unless you count the face of Jesus appearing in toast, what divine act has anyone witnessed in the last two thousand years? Has god ever replaced a missing limb through prayer?

The age of science and technology

The Hubble telescope has captured billions of galaxies in deep space, it wasn't even blessed with holy water. A geneticist can trace genetic DNA patterns back to your first relative. My great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was what color?! The Earth is now far beyond any doubt billions of years old, dismantling the biblical account of Genesis. The word 'God' doesn't even appear in the U.S. constitution. So where do our modern day Christians go from here? Believers are feeling a shift. Right now non-believers are sitting silently in pews and preaching from pulpits.

Faith isn't necessary if you actually believe

You cannot know a belief is true, you can only believe what is known. If I told you to apply all your mental efforts in believing the Earth was flat you couldn't do it. You can pretend, you can make yourself think you believe but that would never truly become a belief. You are aware of empirical evidence that this world is spherical. You are aware of no empirical evidence that god exists. You can only pretend, you can only make believe.

Atheists just don't Get It

Are you sure? What if I told you that everyone on planet Earth is an atheist? I'll bet you I can prove it.

It's not you, it's me. I've been there

"A faith that cannot survive collision with the truth is not worth many regrets." -Arthur C. Clarke

As an attending member of the (Name redacted) Baptist Church of Tracy California for more than three years, I was a believer in the 'word of god.' My mid-teens were spent in the church choir, retreats, sermons, the works. I was baptized of my own volition; no one forced me under the holy (Jacuzzi) water in the effort to save my soul, I was a willing supplicant of the lord.

Had you approached me back then and claimed there was no god, I would have thought you were crazy or in league with Satan. I was truly afraid of 'the devil' when I was young, that he was making concerted efforts to drive me towards sin. This was right in the middle of puberty, everything seemed like a sin.

Every girl I liked at made my body do weird things. I thought then, this is what sin feels like; excitement. I have to admit the fear of eternal damnation didn't perturb me from playing baseball with girls (if you catch the metaphor). I could feel the nagging biblical scripture in my mind as I tried to charm the (baseball) uniforms off of women, and their sisters. And sometimes their cousins.

It is a curiosity to me now that my faith in heaven and hell was strongest at that time but my brain took orders straight from my lower regions without much synaptic delay. Brad Pit I was not but motivated and I could make just about anyone laugh, like a lot, like pee your pants a lot.

What never set well in my head was the duplicity of the flock who attended that church. In my youth and in the breach of 'becoming a man' I had a justifiable rationalization for breaking my oath to the lord. But even at the ripe age of thirteen I could smell hypocrisy and those that stank of it. Not the least of which was the pastor of our church being convicted of child molestation. Lesser crimes have been the smell of alcohol on the breath of parishioners during services, women complaining about how the other women dressed like sluts or men speaking of women in salacious terms just out of ear shot. Or so they thought.

Where was the unyielding belief in what they preached and shared with the lost sheep with such fervor? Why were they not bedeviled with the fear of the devil?

I guess we blame Satan for planting the maddening ear worm for desire in their thoughts. If god is in their heart the devil must be on their mind. Until I started going to church my idea of a devil was from cartoons and movies. And why is Satan never portrayed as a woman in ancient theology? When I mention this to women friends they immediately agree with my analysis; Women have more guile, more cunning than men. Women are really talented at vengeance and they never forget a damn thing. Maybe it's my two divorces talking but that sounds like a pretty damn good devil to me. I know, I'll receive a lot of emails about being a misogynist but if I said women weren't qualified to be the devil I would get letters for that too. The devil's in the details I guess. So the peers of my youth weren't saints. Is that a reason to doubt theology?

Though my initial understanding of my own religious journey was warped I, like most indoctrinated, believed the person who told me, and they that told them and so on. As I grew older I was disillusioned by how little actual knowledge of scripture 'they' knew or understood. Theses faint biblical scholars were possessed by the feeling of rapture, it was their motivator. But as one grows out of childhood the obvious reality of religious dogma and all its inherent fallacies is no longer avoidable. If we look to a source root of the tree of theology we must point to the Torah and the bible.

Men not women as a point of fact had written what they were given through word of mouth. How much credibility can I give this credo since no one quoted in the bible actually met with Adam nor Eve and neither with Jesus. Since the Council of Nicaea men have used their own experience and ideology to determine what would stay or be edited out of the bible. This does not meet with the criteria of a holy book. When I began to ask questions of its validity I was told I simply "had to believe" as stated by a christians in reply in this question. God gave us a brain and I was being advised to no longer use it.

Do you believe that if I questioned or searched for truth behind the christian canon that god would deem me a heretic? What if I am becoming an atheist? If god knows what is in my heart then he is aware that I, like the apostles, seek the truth. When the bible is placed under scrutiny it cannot maintain the prominence it once had when I was a child. Since god is omnipotent he must have been aware that I would one day no longer think like a child.

Why God And The New Covenant

God And The New Covenant

Why would the god of gods, he who is I am, all knowing, omniscient, need a new covenant?

Why would god need to make a 'new covenant' with himself?

Why is it when giving the detailed instructions for baking unleavened bread he couldn't have added the line do not own slaves? Or do not sleep with your daughters (Lot). Does that make sense to you?

The reason I use the unleavened bread example is theists claim that those were different times but obviously they were able to take instruction from god and obey it.
"If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him.  Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.  And allIsrael, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst."  (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)
The Old Testament runs rife with stories told with actual relish of the mass rape the Israelis committed, the genocide, child slavery and murder and god loved them because of it. That's the basis of the modern Abrahamic religions. And if you need to pick and choose which parts of your religion you accept and reject based on your own personal morality, you clearly do not need religion.

Where will those who have not heard the word of god dwell?

Considering throughout history, millions if not billions died before ever hearing that word. Not much of a plan for an all powerful being like god. Look at that map. Then think of the "new covenant" as you imagine preteen children going to hell because god wasn't able to extend his reach farther than a desert.
You can disseminate all the translations and fallacies of the bible til revelations might actually take place, these claims will still not be valid or real.

Making claims is what Christianity does.

The claim that god is omnipotent, knows all from beginning to end yet couldn't save the entire population of Earth before Noah's flood. Claims that prayer works, yet no prayer has ever re-grown a missing limb. Claims that the Earth is 6000 yrs old and children should be taught this in school. That homosexuality is wrong but from the same Old Testament owning slaves is right. How are these claims making the world a better place?

Ten Ways to approach a Woman

List of 10 ways to talk to women:
  1. Circle her closely but ignore her. Sounds like a waste of time? If she is drawn to you, let her make the first move. The first one to talk gives up power. Her curiosity will make you sexier.
  2. Do not reveal anything important in your first 20 dates. Stay mysterious! It works.
  3. Have two or three one line jokes memorized. They don't have to be great. Do not apologize before telling the jokes. Just do it.
  4. Tip well after a meal.
  5. Even if you hate your mother, show respect when talking about her. She is a woman after all. If you worship your mother, stop talking about her like she is a goddess.
  6. DO NOT WEAR TONS OF COLOGNE! Spray your stuff into the air and let it fall on you. Women have sensitive noses, you only need a suggestive smell. Do not spray cologne to last the night, that won't make you smell better. Opposite in fact.
  7. You don't have to be the alpha male. Just be the guy she can trust. Bullshitting someone will only get you more bullshit in your own life.
  8. Be friendly. You aren't talking with her to get laid, she can smell that coming a mile away. Refer to rule #7.
  9. Listen. Listening requires remembering what she actually said. Then find the connection in your own life but do not stay on the subject. Note the coincidence then move on. If she comes back to it, you got closer to her.
  10. Be more like Batman in the beginning and Superman after you get to know her.
