Dear Conservative Obstructionist

During the hearings on Benghazi, we have learned that aide was withheld for political reasons - By THE REPUBLICAN HOUSE MAJORITY!

Conservative obstructionist: You only read ideologue based reporting, you only get half the truth with your mind already bent towards Obama having an 'evil soul.' As much as you pride yourself on analysis can you claim pure devotion to fact when you already perceive people in power as conspiratorial?

I have found shortcomings in my own approach but one of those weaknesses is not excepting what left or right wing media tells me to think. I strongly resist evidence or the conception of events presented by the right wing. But by watching and reading "conservative" media, I have been able to dissect your mind set.

You have an obtuse view when it comes anything or anyone not far right enough to hate Obama and those liberal, lefty, socialist, communist, atheist, libtard, American hating, United States Citizens. Therefore you cannot espouse clarity when it comes to issues concerning the nation.

"You are speaking through a bullhorn and listening through a filter, nothing gets in and the same stuff always comes out."

I am not above reproach, but I allow for the people I vote for to fail and hold them to the fire. For example; I believe drone attacks must stop! They are too indiscriminate. Obama has hired an ex Monsanto guy, a lobbyist. I have signed over 300 petitions since 2003 against Bush's decisions and against Obama's.

I am not a left wing ideologue. But its easier and requires less effort on your part to lump me or anyone else in that presumed category when they show the least amount of affinity to a left wing (seeming) concept.

But I have learned that the world doesn't work in black and white, right or left. Those who have power will use whatever it takes to keep power and become what they think we want them to be.

And how they do that is divide us and give us demons.

Because you believe Obama to be some communist, socialist, devil spawn, all of his choices must be as well. Only simple minded people or sheep think in those myopic terms.

I did. I hated Bush with all my will after 2003, but there my hate was at least reasonable. He failed repeatedly to deliver on his promises after standing on the rubble in New York after 9/11. There was actual proof of his constant missteps, his disingenuous character, and his persistent poor choices.

I learned to hate, Bush the right wing president, hating him because of what I assumed must be wrong, and of course I must be right. I looked for his mistakes, longed for his failure, joyed in his descent. This was my failure of intellect, and morality. This is what sheep do, what the sheep herders want them to do, divide and fail.

The president, congress, lobbyists, the Pentagon are pawns in the game. We are arguing over the rook and if he should have made a different move. We are wasting time! We are doing what the Chessmen want us to do. They divide, and we conquer ourselves by degrees.

Obama is an administrator who can't even hire a judge without going through congress. Does he have power to war, yes. Does he have the same power Bush had, yes. If Bush made the same mistakes you cannot claim that you would be as disturbed.

Congress lives only to be reelected.
Whoever backs them, own us both. What does that have to do with red or blue. That has to do with green and gold.

I want to do more than just hate power. I want to do more than just bitch about power and get together with friends and bitch about power.

If you believe god has a plan and you also understand that no man knows the plan, then you should be living with optimism not pessimism.
If you have a heaven to go to, a place like no other where you will know only love, why would you despair about the workings of men on earth? That job belongs to god.

I know this is a long letter but I think our shared love of country strong enough to speak to truth.
This is mine.

Conservatives Enforce Morals On The Rest of Society

Conservatives want to enforce their morals on the rest of society, because it's a religion. But they object to others not believing it.

And I don't believe it. But you object and call me an atheist and blame us for the decay in society.
  • You tell me its wrong to kill babies, then go to Iraq and do it anyway.
  • You tell me its wrong to kill babies, then stop legislation to provide birth control.
  • You tell me its wrong to kill babies, then stop background checks, even if it would only save one.
  • You tell me our people shouldn't have died in Benghazi, but reduced funding for embassy security months before.
  • You tell me to stop blaming Bush but you continue to blame Obama even after Bush made the same mistakes, and worse.
  • You tell me conservatives have a better plan for the nation but all I see is obstructionism, which is the opposite of governing.

If even one right wing congressman makes a move to create jobs, like more than a thousand, I will eat his hat.

But that might make Obama look better, so nation last, politics first.

More Republican Choke Holds on the Middle Class

A Florida Republican this week reintroduced legislation to speed up the foreclosure process for the third consecutive year, even though similar legislation has sparked outrage from consumer advocates over the last two years.

State Rep. Kathleen Passidomo (R) is touting the new bill as a “more moderate” version of the legislation that has failed each of the previous two years, the Miami Herald reports. But while it includes some provisions proposed by homeowner advocates, it still reduces the the time banks have to process a foreclosure from five years to one, a problematic “fix” that could incentivize more fraudulent processing of foreclosure documents:

Passidomo’s bill aims to speed things up. It requires mortgage lenders to certify that they have the correct paperwork proving they have the right to foreclose. The measure includes a provision that consumer activists supported last year to limit banks’ ability to go after homeowners for additional debt after a foreclosure.

Banks currently have five years to pursue a so-called “deficiency judgment” against a homeowner. The bill reduces that time-period to one-year.

The average Florida foreclosure, the Miami Herald notes, takes more than 600 days to process. But even though Florida has more foreclosures than most other states, that length is hardly atypical. Nationally, homeowners with mortgages worth less than $250,000 are in default for an average of 611 days before they enter foreclosure. Borrowers with mortgages worth $1 million average 792 days in default before foreclosure begins.

Ted Nugent Will Say Anything to Attack President Obama

Ted Nugent is willing to say just about anything to attack President Barack Obama and his administration for what he believes is an imminent effort by the government to snatch up guns. During a recent interview, he raised the bar, invoking a Revolutionary war milestone to suggest that he and his "buddies" were prepared to fight such an effort at all costs.

"I'm part of a very great experiment in self-government where we the people determine our own pursuit of happiness and our own individual freedom and liberty, not to be confused with the Barack Obama gang who believes in we the sheeple and actually is attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George that we escaped from in 1776", Nugent said in a recent interview with Guns.com at the NBC-sponsored Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show. "And if you want another Concord Bridge, I got some buddies".

Nugent went on to accuse Obama of having communist ties, suggesting that gun-owning Americans needed to do something to "fix" the fact that he was president. (Maybe it's just me, but I'm inclined to take that as a threat)

Old Ted is proving once again why we need to have psych evals as a requirement to having a weapon.

The Republic was Formed to Protect Moneyed Classes

Written by Allen Harris

Actually the republic was formed to protect the moneyed classes and the property owners.

The early colonists turned Americans could only vote if they were able to prove they were land owners. The liberals don't pretend anything, they are made up of the minorities that are fast becoming the majority and will be hands down the majority by 2014. That one fact scares the repuublican right shitless. and they are right to be afraid because the laws of this country, the constitution entitles the majority to make the rules everyone has to abide by.

The republican party may never be able to recover from the disasters that started to snowball this last November and will only escalate during the 2014 elections. Trends and polls tend to indicate the republicans will lose several governorships, state legislatures and of course control of the House of Representatives. It isn't a very bright future for the conservative extremists, for the moderate conservatives the world should not change very much, although the republican extremists are gaining in numbers the party itself is growing smaller. This is a fact and no amount of railing against fate or doom saying will change the momentum that is currently with the liberals and will only grow more irresistible with time.

Republicans are not idiots per se, democrats are not idiots either, but it is the extremists of both parties that are responsible for our current government malaise. But it just does not matter because there is a historical imperative at work here and the white America of our forefathers no longer exists...it is changing into something very different as we speak.

Even so, that is the way of things, change is inevitable and this change is moving the majority into the hands of the former minorities and those minorities are not conservatives, they are liberal and socialistic. Cry, swear and pray all you like that is the future and it will be much better for the vast majority of our people than the recent past has been.

Government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth. The very first republican president said that and he meant it; his name was Abraham Lincoln, and he died for what he believed in.

New York and New Jersy are afraid

Been reading the political reports from both sides and something interesting has occurred to me.

Everyone in the republican ranks except those from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersy are afraid that this latest switch in voting by republican conservatives will result in strong primary competition this coming election year of 2014.

What strikes me as interesting is that the strong primary challenges in 2012 resulted in many republican incumbents losing primaries and then the tea party/ultra conservatives who won those primaries losing to either independents or democrats in the general election.

Given the anal-retentive nature of those ultra conservative and purblind extremists it is quite likely the same scenario will play out in the 2014 primaries and national elections, and if it does then the house of Representatives could very well land back in the lap of the democrats with plenty of independents siding with their democratic colleagues.

I find the whole thing curiously satisfying and i for one can hardly wait. Apparently shooting themselves in the foot and then placing that foot firmly in their mouth is a genetic thing among republicans. But it does delight me and others who have had more than enough of these unrealistic and insensitive not to say lacking in perception and markedly ignorant anachronisms.

Corporate Profits Hit Record High While Worker Wages Hit Record Low

By Pat Garofalo on Dec 3, 2012 at 9:25 am

A constant conservative charge against President Obama is that he is inherently anti-business.
However, businesses keep defying the storyline by making larger and larger profits, rebounding nicely out of the Great Recession.

In the third quarter of this year, “corporate earnings were $1.75 trillion, up 18.6% from a year ago.” Corporations are currently making more as a percentage of the economy than they ever have since such records were kept. But at the same time, wages as a percentage of the economy are at an all-time low, as this chart shows. (The red line is corporate profits; the blue line is private sector wages.):

Corporations made a record $824 billion in profits last year as well, while the stock market has had one of its best performances since 1900 while Obama has been in office.

Meanwhile, workers are getting the short end of the stick. As CNN Money explained, “a separate government reading shows that total wages have now fallen to a record low of 43.5% of GDP. Until 1975, wages almost always accounted for at least half of GDP, and had been as high as 49% as recently as early 2001.”

If A Woman Has A Gun She Won't Get Raped?

Okay, time to help GunBillies think again - because we all know they can't think five minutes into the future. "If a woman has a gun she won't get raped."
Now we all know that if you haven't got that thing available and loaded and off safe every second, that doesn't work. And if all the women get to have a holstered pistol on their hip - so do the men. Do women stalk men down alleys or wait for them in dark corners? Oh, don't even bring up prostitutes - because I will eat your brain on that, too.
Now ask any woman, with shopping and work and kids to deal with, if she wants to be doing it in an armed war-zone every fucking minute. Or do you really think it will be more fun for women to live like it's occupied or war-chief Afghanistan?
Guns do not stop rape if the rapist has a gun. But maybe if the the rapist shoots the woman first there wouldn't be a rape. So they may be right. That is assuming she can aim the gun under the influence of a date rape drug.
Like any mom wants to carry around a loaded gun while also hoisting around a toddler and two bags of groceries. Yeah, like that's not a tragedy waiting to happen.

The Tea Party: Alienating American Voters

Written by: Allen Harris

Interesting country we have here, slightly more than half the people are generally pleased with almost everything and slightly less than half are continuously appalled by nearly everything.

But the clear trend is toward the current majority and that majority, a growing majority is displeased with all things conservative. The polls are indicative, but the trends are crystal clear. The hard core Tea Party members took a serious hit this election and the ultra right conservatives did as well.

None of those people predicted what actually happened and that was because they were believing their own propaganda, so now they are fighting a losing rear guard action that even they know they are going to lose. Alienating the majority of American voters is not conducive to anyone's agenda and that is what is currently happening.

My advice to the American people is simple; work it out among yourselves and if congress does not agree with you, vote them the hell out of office. That is what I believe will happen too. New groups and new coalitions are forming as we speak and none of them are particularly conservative.

Perhaps we should take a page out of the Iceland book of political extremism.
